A child’s first visits shape how they feel about dentists for life. We go slowly, explain everything in kid language, and keep visits short and positive.
Is it right for you?
Kids’ dentistry usually helps with:
- A first check-up (ideally by age one, or when the first teeth come in)
- Cavities in milk teeth
- Fluoride and fissure sealants to prevent decay
- Advice on thumb-sucking, brushing and diet
What happens, step by step
- 1Meet & greetYour child gets to see the chair, the light and the tools before anything happens.
- 2Check-upA gentle look at teeth and gums, with advice for you on home care.
- 3Treatment if neededFillings, sealants or fluoride, explained to your child step by step.
Aftercare
- Brush twice a day with a rice-grain smear of fluoride toothpaste (pea-sized from age 3).
- Keep sweets to mealtimes rather than snacks through the day.
Common questions
Milk teeth fall out anyway. Why treat them?
Milk teeth hold space for adult teeth and help children chew and speak. Infected milk teeth can hurt and can affect the adult teeth underneath.
