Dentures replace missing teeth with a removable plate that’s made to fit your mouth. Well-made dentures help you chew, speak clearly and smile with confidence again.
If loose dentures are a problem, a few dental implants can hold them firmly in place. Dr. Vaishali will talk you through both options.
Is it right for you?
Dentures usually helps with:
- Several or all teeth missing in one or both jaws
- Old dentures that feel loose, sore or worn
- People who want a replacement without surgery
- Dentures that slip, with implant-supported options
What happens, step by step
- 1ConsultationWe check your gums and any remaining teeth, and discuss full, partial or implant-supported options.
- 2ImpressionsAccurate moulds and bite records are taken so the denture fits your mouth.
- 3Try-inYou try a wax version first, so we can adjust the look, shade and bite before it’s finalised.
- 4Fitting & reviewThe finished denture is fitted, and we follow up to ease any sore spots.
Aftercare
- Take dentures out at night and clean them daily with a soft brush.
- Start with soft food cut into small pieces while you get used to them.
- Come back if anything rubs or feels loose. Small adjustments make a big difference.
Common questions
Will people be able to tell I wear dentures?
Modern dentures are made to match your face, gum colour and the shade you choose, and you approve the look at the try-in stage.
My dentures keep slipping. What can I do?
Sometimes a reline or a new denture fixes the fit. For a firmer hold, two or more implants can anchor the denture so it clips securely in place.
How long do dentures last?
Usually several years. Your gums and bone change over time, so we check the fit at your regular visits and reline or remake when needed.
